Sania hangs on to 34th position in singles, moves up in doubles

Despite an injury that forced her out of the recently concluded Thailand Open, India's Sania Mirza managed to cling on to her 34th position in the WTA rankings. Sania saw her doubles rankings move up by one position to 113.

Sania Mirza who is hoping to break into the top-15 soon, will be India's biggest hope in the next grand slam event, the Australian Open that is scheduled to begin early next year. Sania will be training hard for the tournament.
