Sania Mirza maintains her top-50 WTA ranking

Teenaged Indian tennis star Sania Mirza just about managed to stay within the top-50 in the WTA rankings announced yesterday. Her current ranking is 50. Sania Mirza, who has been suffering from a minor stomach injury pulled out of the Rogers Cup held recently.

The Indian tennis player is expected to play in the US Open, the last grand slam event of the year, which is scheduled to begin later this month.
