Injured Sania pulls out of game

Sania Mirza was forced out the second round of the Thailand Open when she developed a lower back strain. Sania was trailing behind Meng Yuan of China 5-7 when she decided to call it quits.

However, earlier Sania had made it to the second round of the doubles event. Teaming up with Sahar Peer of Israel, Sania made short work of Carly Gullickson and Abigali Spears of USA by beating them 6-2, 7-6 on Tuesday.

Thailand Open would be the last tournament that Sania is playing before taking a break for about one month.
