Sania makes a winning start in the new year

Sania Mirza made a winning start in the year by teaming up with Kim Clijsters and winning an exciting doubles match against the Williams sisters in the Watsons Water Challenge exhibition match being held in Hong Kong.

Sania Mirza and Kim Clijsters defeated Serena and Venus Williams 8-7 (7/2) in a best of 15 match.

Sania was all praise for her partner. "It is a delightful experience to partner a player like Kim and very exciting to win a match against Venus and Serena," she said after the match.

Sania is also scheduled to take on Venus in the singles event on Thursday.
