Sania Mirza goes down fighting to Hantuchova in Sydney International

Sania Mirza went down to world number 17 Daniela Hantuchova in the first round of the USD600,000 Sydney International. Sania lost the match 4-6, 6-2, 2-6.

Sania, who came back strongly in the second set after loosing the first failed to carry forward the momentum and lost the decider meekly.

Sania Mirza however retained her 34th position in the latest WTA rankings released on Monday.
